EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The idea of the Education Committee is to create efficient communication and cooperation between folk dance centers in Poland, as well as to build a strong group of young people full of passion and enthusiasm, who will responsibly, according to the goals set by the Commission, will become leaders actively cooperating with folk groups.
The task of the commission is to coordinate activities aimed at environmental education in all centers of folk dance in Poland and to recruit partners-educators who, in specific regions, will undertake the activation of work for the promotion of Polish tradition through their own creativity and cooperation with teams belonging to a given region.
In addition, the Commission will organize and coordinate dance workshops for instructors and dancers in various fields of dance.

ACTIVITIES OF THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE
National Competition of Young Choreographersis an initiative initiated and organized systematically for 4 years. The competition is an artistic event promoting folk culture as a material and inspiration for the creation of new stage works. The subject of the competition presentations are choreographies of various forms of movement and dance techniques inspired by Polish folklore. Young artists who use the Polish intangible heritage present the harmony between poetic imagination and choreotechnical work. The innovations of these compositions are the concepts of form, time and color.
The competition is aimed at lovers of dance, music and emotions caused by sound, light and stage movement. The participants will present their full talent in the final show, showing viewers a range of choreographic inventions in new stylizations of dance forms, created by young, talented artists from various backgrounds.
Workshops and trainingare one of the activities of the Education Commission of the Polish Section of CIOFF. Educational proposals result from the demand and current possibilities. The ideas and implementation of the workshop tasks is based on the close cooperation with the Council of Experts of the Polish Section of CIOFF.
